Better technology. Better care. And faster results

Digital Mammography and Computer Aided Detection (CAD) are the latest technologies we have to offer our mammography patients.
  • Digital Mammography provides a faster exam for the patient, a reduced amount of retakes because      no processing is required, thus reducing the amount of radiation exposure to the patient. For the      radiologist it provides a vast array of tools to aid in the interpretation.
  • Computer Aided Detection –CAD assists the radiologist when assessing areas of interest through a      software bases system. At Tower, we are very excited to offer both digital mammography and CAD      for our mammogram patients.

  • At Tower, our digital mammogram's utilize the most advanced technology available.

MammoDynaCADDoes a BREAST MRI replace the need for a mammogram?

No. Breast MRI does not replace mammography as the front line screening tool but, Breast MRI may further evaluate abnormalities detected by mammography. To identify early breast cancer plus it’s a screening tool for patient's who have breast implants or scar tissue . Also, used to evaluate the progress of chemotherapy. To differentiate scar tissue from recurrent tumors To determine how much cancer has spread further in the breast To determine the integrity of breast implants.

Where do I have to go if my Breast MRI or mammogram indicates a potential tumor?

MRI MachineNowhere. We can handle the next step at Tower. If a suspicious finding requires a biopsy for further evaluation, we can perform this procedure in our outpatient facility. By providing Breast Biopsy services in an outpatient setting, it brings availability to the marketing place with easy access for fast results. A breast biopsy procedure would be performed under the appropriate guidance tool that best visualizes the area of interest ie, Stereotactic, Ultrasound or MRI. It is very important for us to have all 3 biopsy guidance tools on-site. Lesions have different characteristics and each guidance tool plays an important role in the needle biopsy guidance.
